I would like to thank our students, faculty, and families for a very successful Catholic Schools Week! It was wonderful to see so many of our students dressed in their school uniforms at the 11:30am Mass on Sunday, January 29. From there, many parishioners came over to say hello at our Open House! Our middle school students were awesome tour guides and we were happy to meet so many prospective students and their families!
On Monday, our K-8 students gathered across grades as the “12 Tribes of Israel.” Our younger students were assisted by those in older grades to play our first activity for the week – Bunco! This active number game had our students competing and cooperating at the same time! On Tuesday, the tribes pulled together to guess what “the survey said” in Tribal Feud. Students worked together on Wednesday to win Bingo points for their tribes while dressed in their favorite sports gear!
The fun continued on Thursday with Name That Tune. Tribes dared each other to “name that tune” in fewer and fewer seconds! Project Runway rounded out our week as students modeled their upcycled creations made out of trash bags, feathers, sequins, and much much more!
Students took time from the fun and excitement of the week to honor those in our community who protect and serve. Cards and prayers were plentiful for police officers and fire fighters in our community. We also remembered our seminarians by praying for them during morning prayer each day, and creating cards to accompany gift bags filled with candy.
Catholic Schools Week was certainly filled with Faith, Knowledge, and Service!
Congratulations to the Dark Blue Tribe of Naphtali, led by Mr. Perretta for winning the 2017 Catholic Schools Week Tribal Cup!
