Mrs. Lavoie will be retiring at the end of this school year in order to enjoy more time with her family – especially her grandson!  She will be missed more than she will ever realize.  She has become an invaluable secretary, but more than that, she is a good friend to everyone here.  Mrs. Lavoie is typically the first contact a person has at Father John V. Doyle School – whether it’s on the phone or a visit during Open House.  From there, she has gotten to know and care about every one of our students and families.  
 
Father John V. Doyle School has been blessed to have Sharon Lavoie as part of our family.  Although we will certainly miss her daily presence in the building, she will always be here in our hearts!

• ​BREAKING NEWS!!!  SPANISH Class returns for Grades K-5 for the 2017-2018 school year!
• Now that Snow Days should be at an end, we can officially announce our last day of school for 2016-2017!  The last day of school will be Friday, June 16, 2017.  We will celebrate our Last Day of School Mass at 10am on June 16th.  All are welcome to join us!  Teachers will report to school on Monday, June 19, 2017.
• ​Re-Enrollment Contracts ​were sent home with students.  Please check backpacks if you haven't received yours!​​​  Good News - Tuition will remain the same for the 2017-2018 school year... AND our sibling discount has increased - more info to be found in your Re-Enrollment Contract!  Please return before April vacation.​
• Scholarship Applications for students entering grades 7 & 8 are attached as well as available in the rectory office.  The deadline for receipt of completed applications, including all accompanying forms, is May 12, 2017.
• We will be holding an Open House ​this 
  Sunday, April 9, from 8:30am - 1pm.  Please spread the word to your friends and neighbors!  
• ​Our Singing Saints Choir will be singing for Stations of the Cross at noon on Good Friday​ in our Church​.​
• ​Hope to see you at our Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on April 23, 2017! (flyer attached)
• ​Confirmation registration forms went home with our 8th grade students.  Return due date is April 30, 2017.​
• ​Use the attached Sponsor Sheet to promote your business or put in words of encouragement for your favorite actor or tech member​ in our Spring Musical Production of Beauty & the Beast​!  The student with the highest booster sales will get 2 FREE FRONT ROW tickets to the show of their choice​!​
• ​Beauty & the Beast tickets are now available!​  Please use the attached order form to place your order!!!  Seating for each performance will be limited so please send in your order early!
• ​Reminder... Our Basketball Coaches are available during Open Gym time on Thursday evenings from 5:30-7:30pm.​  All students in grades 3-8 are welcome to participate!
• There are still a few spots available on our Golf League (grades 3-8).  This year, OLM has joined us and we will be playing on the Executive Course at Mulligan's Island on Tuesday evenings.  Please email Coach Dufour if you are interested in joining or for more information!
• ​Meritage gift cards are available through the school office!​
• ​You can order your 2016-2017 Yearbook and Yearbook BOOSTERs using the attached forms!​  The class that buys the most yearbooks before the start of April vacation will win a PiZZa ParTy!
• ​FJVD Summer Camps will include:  Theater Workshop, Book Camp, Art Camp, Fun in the Sun, and Basketball​​!  Theater Workshop info & registration is attached here.  Art Camp flyers were sent home with students.  More info on the other camps coming soon!​
