December 16, 2016Dear Students, Families, & Friends,The Father John V. Doyle School community is blessed to have so many caring and generous families! As you are aware, some families in our school and parish have experienced difficulties far and wide this past week. Your generosity, prayerful support, and many prayers for the families of our school community have made abundantly clear the close-knit ties that make our school so special. Thank you to all those who have reached out to support these families in their time of need. Please continue to keep them all in your hearts and in your prayers!
On Monday, December 19, 2016, our fourth and fifth grade classes will join the FJVD Singing Saints Choir for a caroling performance at the Rhode Island State House! All are welcome to attend! The concert will take place at 9:30am. Please consider taking a ride up to the State House to enjoy the lovely voices of our very talented students! In addition, the Singing Saints will also be featured on Cox Channel 13 and Verizon Channel 33 during the week before Christmas and the week after (see the attached flyer for playback times!).

- Catholic Schools Week will begin on Sunday January
29, 2017 at the 11:30am Mass. Students interested in participating in this Catholic Schools Week Mass should contact Mrs. Smith byFri day, December 16 , 2016 . We are looking for 5 readers, 4 non-speaking roles, and 3 Knights of the Altar (1 cross-bearer and 2 candle-bearers). All students and families are encouraged to attend this Mass to celebrate our Faith-Filled Education and Academic Excellence!
