December 9, 2016Dear Students, Families, & Friends,Father John V. Doyle School has been collecting Box Tops for Education for many years now! The program has grown with the support of students, families, faculty, and friends. Even Our Daily Bread ministry submits Box Tops most weeks! It's easy and fun - just cut/tear off the Box Top for Education Clip found on hundreds of different product packages and send them into the school to the attention of our coordinator, Mrs. Kim Rice. Mrs. Rice has been a champion of collecting, sorting, and motivation!Students earn Angel Awards (or Doyle Dollars in the older grades!) for submitting Box Tops which can be traded in for non-uniform days. All of our students appreciate a chance to express themselves on these special days!
Every Box Top Clip is worth 10 cents... it might not sound like much but it adds up quickly!
There are also Bonus Box Top Certificateswhich can be found in flyers and onspecial packages... these help us too! We have already earned over $2000 forourschool this year! In fact, Father John V. Doyle School is currently ranked #1 in Rhode Island for Box Top submissions! In addition, we are ranked 311 out of 96,162 schools in the nation!Please help us by sending in Box Top Clips, Certificates, and by submitting Bonus Box Top Codes found on some packages or received at checkout! Drop Off & Pick Up reminders... please use the four drop off only spots in front of the gym (not the fire line in front of the main entrance) to drop off students in the morning. Also, students should never get into a car that is in the lane of traffic or not in a parking spot in the lot. This is for the safety of all of our students. Please share this information with all those dropping off or picking up.

'Tis the Season gift card collection will continue through December 20! Please review the attached document for more information! Families in need in our area are grateful for your generosity!
- Annual scoliosis screening for grades 6-8 will take place on December 13, 2016 during gym class. Only those students that have not been screened by their own physician will be screened on that day. A handout with more information went home with students.
- Catholic Schools Week will begin on Sunday January
29, 2017at the 11:30am Mass. Students interested in participating in this Catholic Schools Week Mass should contact Mrs. Smith byFriday,December 16, 2016. Weare looking for5 readers, 4 non-speaking roles, and 3 Knights of the Altar (1 cross-bearer and 2 candle-bearers). All students and families are encouraged to attend this Mass to celebrate our Faith-Filled Education and Academic Excellence!
