Circle of Grace is a safe environment program supported by the Diocese of Providence. This program supplements the curricula in our religious education classes. Lessons assist students to recognize God’s love by helping them to understand that each of us lives and moves in a Circle of Grace. You can imagine your own Circle of Grace by putting your arms above your head then circle down around your body, side to side and front to back. This circle reminds us that God is always with us, surrounding us with His love in this holy space. The Circle of Grace program helps students understand how very special they are and how relationships with others are called to be sacred. I have the pleasure of teaching the Circle of Grace program to PreK through grade 5, while Mrs. O’Keefe covers the lessons in the middle school. Presently, I am enjoying working with Grade 3 as we discuss boundaries and feelings in safe and unsafe situations.
Father John V. Doyle School promotes a truly safe and caring environment in which students recognize when they are safe or unsafe, and know how to bring their concerns, fears, and uncertainties to the trusted adults in their lives.
As always, Thank You for your support of Father John V. Doyle School!
