September 22, 2017Father John V. Doyle School is blessed with a wonderful faculty and staff! Some of our teachers have been with us since the 1970's and this year, as you know, we have 2 new members of our school family! In addition, we are fortunate to be able to call upon some very capable and reliable substitutes. A sick day is not taken lightly by our dedicated teachers. However, when they know there will be a competent person filling their shoes for the day, they can relax and take time to heal when necessary!For a substitute teacher, working at Father John V. Doyle School on an "as needed" basis can be a great way to supplement income on a flexible schedule. Substitutes can choose when to work, can decline a position if you have other commitments on a particular day, or even if you just want to keep that day free.We value our substitute teachers because they maintain consistency in our classrooms so that learning continues uninterrupted. Our substitute teachers make a difference in the lives of our students, even if they are only there for an occasional day or two. We appreciate the special skills and fresh perspectives that substitutes bring into our school.We require that substitute teachers hold a bachelor's degree and have prior experience in the classroom. - Our first Box Tops for Education contest is going strong! Submit your Box Tops for a chance to win a No Uniform Day! All Box Tops will receive "double angel awards" for the duration of the contest! Box Tops Contest deadline is Thursday October 19!
