   K – 2
 

• Exhibit respect for the “Technology Acceptable Use Policy”
• Identification of external computer parts and proper use
• Identification of appropriate keys on the keyboard
• Use of age-appropriate software to compliment classroom curriculum
• Age-appropriate Cybersecurity information
• Demonstrate the proper way to open and close programs
• Exposer to coding through the use of Dash & Dot Robots
• Demonstrate the proper use of our Library automation program

• Identification of internal computer parts, explanation of how they work, and proper use.
• Define age-appropriate computer terminology
• Use of age-appropriate software to compliment classroom curriculum
• Introduction to the Internet, networking, and online resources for research purposes in a controlled area
• Discussions of ethical and moral issues, copyright issues, and legitimate sources on the Internet where  safe and responsible online behavior is encouraged while exploring the wonders of the Internet

• Coding, keyboarding, and basic introduction to multimedia presentation tools

• Please remember your books on library day!
• “How many books can I take out?” 
  • Kindergarten and Grade 1: one book per week  
  • Grades 2 & 3: two books per week  
  • Grades 4 & up: three books per week 
• Lost Books Policy 
  • Books that have been lost, must be paid for or replaced with the same title. 
     

BE RESPECTFUL, BE KIND, BE RESPONSIBLE

• Take care of the books and return them on time
• Use whisper voices in the library and be polite
• Follow directions and school rules
