On May 6, 2017, twenty Father John V. Doyle School students received their First Holy Communion! Family, faculty, and friends joined together to celebrate this special day. Preparations have been going on since the beginning of the school year. Students have studied and prayed together. They’ve worked with their teachers and spent time with their 8th grade buddies. Twenty children learned how wonderful it is to become closer to Jesus!
This month, as children from Father John V. Doyle School and Saints John & Paul Parish celebrate this sacrament for the very first time, we are reminded that this most precious gift is offered to us all - each and every time we come together at Mass. Please join me in praying for our students, that they continue to experience, with faith and love, the gift of our Lord Jesus in Holy Communion.
Mrs. Lauren Sheldon, their teacher, and I would like to thank Father Fleming, Mrs. Ann Sartell, and Mrs. Pat Jarvis for all of their prayers and their time in making this day a meaningful and joyous celebration! We especially thank the parents of our students for not only being the first to introduce them to the love of Jesus, but also for sharing their children with us and entrusting them into our care at Father John V. Doyle School!
As always,
Thank You for your support of Father John V. Doyle School!
Mrs. Jae T. Smith

Scholastic Book Fair was a great success! In addition to the books received for the classrooms, we were also able to obtain a Chromebook Cart and a projector, as well as having some funds leftover to put towards Chromebooks to go into the new Cart! Many thanks to our coordinator Mrs. Boiardi, her Assistant Chairs Mrs. Andrews & Mrs. Hall, and their many volunteers!! Mrs. Boiardi has coordinated the Book Fair for a number of years now and is ready to hand over the reins... We are happy to announce that Mrs. Hall will take over for next year and we're sure she will continue to keep it running smoothly!
