On November 8, 2017, Father John V. Doyle's eighth grade class, under the guidance of Mr. Godin our Social Studies teacher, held a Veterans' Day prayer service to recognize the contributions veterans have made to our country.  The prayer service took place in the J. Robert McDermott Gymnasium at 10am.  Students in grades 3-8 and all families were invited to attend.

 

Family members of eighth grade students and one teacher were introduced to those gathered in their honor.  Julia Benoit, Mary Sullivan, and David Wilson all spoke eloquently about the pride they feel for their grandfathers' service to our country.  Mr s. Burns was also proud to be able to honor her father at the ceremony.  Those who couldn't be at the ceremony were remembered by having their names written on stars and through our prayers.  The ceremony was moving and inspiring for all gathered.
