Father John V. Doyle School is happy to announce that over the summer, we were able to install WiFi in the two meeting rooms in our building, one room on each wing. At our last professional day, we introduced Chromebooks and a mobile cart which will be available for all classes to use. Teachers will sign out the Chromebooks and use them with their classes in one of the rooms equipped with WiFi. Grades 6 - 8 have already been introduced to google apps and, over the next few weeks, we will focus on adding them to the curriculum in grades 3 - 5.
Students in grades 6 - 8 will also have email access, within the
fjvd.org domain only. During the implementation of these Chromebooks, we will focus on their value as a tool for learning.
The Father John V. Doyle School Singing Saints chorus will be performing on the ice at the Providence Bruins game on Friday, November 18! They will be singing the National Anthem before the game starts. We are so excited for this opportunity to showcase this talented group of students! We invite our school and parish family to join us at the game at the Dunkin' Donuts Center and enjoy the Singing Saints as they are featured on the jumbo-tron above the ice when they sing!
As Always, Thank you for your support of Father John V. Doyle School! Mrs. Smith
