Over 112 students and family members from Father John V. Doyle School pre-K and Kindergarten classes enjoyed a Thanksgiving Celebration and Ice Cream Social on Monday, November 20! Our students sang songs and prayed prayers of Thanksgiving which they have been learning in their classes. This year's small class size in Kindergarten has been a great benefit for our students. They are surpassing expectations as they master their curriculum! Entering the Kindergarten classroom always makes me smile as they impress me with their knowledge of math and reading to religion and more! Pre-K students are currently being well prepared by their teachers and assistants, and they certainly have a lot to look forward to next year!
Father John V. Doyle School's table at the Snowflake Bazaar - Class Act - was very successful last weekend! Students in pre-K through grade 8 all created Christmas ornaments and decorations to be sold first on Saturday to family, and then available to the public on Sunday. It was wonderful to see so many of our students, faculty, and families attending and/or volunteering at our parish Bazaar! A new attraction to Class Act was a basket of
"Religion Rocks!" created by middle school students. Any donation amount was accepted for one of these beautifully decorated prayer stones. They were so popular that I will have to wait until next year to get mine!
As always, Thank You for your support of Father John V. Doyle School!
